Aims
of the Association
- To
provide a forum to raise issues of local concern
- To
obtain improved amenities in the area
- To
arouse greater public awareness
Membership
Membership is open to all residents of Holywood, Co.Down,
Northern Ireland. Our current membership is 400. The annual
subscription is £3.00 (minimum) per household.
Links
with other Organisations
In issues of common concern we work in partnership with
other groups including the Holywood Chamber of Commerce,
and Bangor and Holywood Towns Centre Management Board.
We are represented on the Holywood Road Safety Committee,
the Management Committee of the Citizens Advice Bureau,
The Holywood Community Council and the Belfast City Airport
Forum.
Achievements
1973: The Association established the Holywood
Community Council
1974: Mounted our first Keep Holywood Tidy
campaign which is held annually with our participating also
in 'SPRUCE UP' projects.
1983: Instrumental in setting up Holywood
Citizen's Advice Bureau.
